Terran Renegades Code of Honor
Courage, Duty, Honor
The members of Terran Renegades, in order to build, organize, and improve our
organization, establish this code, which will guide us toward our united vision. We
believe Terran Renegades will one day be larger than it ever was, with thousands of
dedicated members across dozens of games, all dedicated to living by our values.
We believe that by joining other games our organization will prosper long after we
are gone. It is our sincere hope that you, the member, will truly benefit from a great
experience as a essential part of Terran Renegades.
Chapter 1- Conduct
Section A. - General Conduct
1.) We hold character to be the most important personal attribute. Character
is more important than skill and experience for skill and experience is easy
to acquire while character is not.
2.) Character is the strength of inner-self; the ability to control one’s actions
and responsibility for those actions. In other words, character is defined as
self-discipline and the desire to do good.
3.) Discipline is the foundation of TR. It shall be kept at all times.
4.) Teamwork is mandatory.
5.) Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing.
Section B. - Officer Conduct
As a member of the TR Officer Corps…
1.) Your goal is to create new officers.
2.) Teach others to do your job.
3.) Set the example.
4.) Serve and not be served.
5.) Know why you’re here.
Chapter 2- Organization
Section A. - Terran Renegade High Council
The TR High Council is the ruling body of Terran Renegades. The High Council issues
decrees called General Orders than may be directed at one clan or at TR as a whole.
Proposals are submitted to the High Council for a vote. A proposal must receive half
of the vote for approval. Voting is done on a private forum. When a member fails to
vote within 48 hours after the proposal was submitted to the High Council, his vote is
excluded from the final count. General Orders are posted on the official TR website
immediately after being issued. Only clan leaders may hold a seat on the High Council.
Each councilman holds the rank of rank of General of the Army {*****} and may
submit proposals to the High Council. Councilmen can be removed by a vote of 2/3.
Section B. - Terran Renegade Academic Board
The TR Academic Board is the training section of TR. The Academic Board is
responsible for supervising, updating, and maintaining training procedures for all
TR clans. All academy commanders hold a seat on the Academic Board and the
Academy Commandant, who is a member of the High Council, commands the
board. Any member may be removed by the Academy Commandant or by a
vote of 2/3.
Section C. - Terran Renegade Clan
A clan is the largest unit within the TR structure and is in charge of TR operations
within a game. A clan is subject to the Code Honor and the General Orders of the High
Council. Other than these restrictions a clan is run independently. Clans are able to create
alliances, declare war, organize divisions, appoint leaders, and train independent from the
High Council. A clan is required to have an independent website with a recruit registration
page and accurate roster. The site roster will include callsign, age, rank, division & platoon,
connection type, and email address. In addition a separate roster must be submitted at
the official TR website listing callsign, rank, division & platoon, and days of participation. This
roster is submitted at the end of every Saturday. A clan consists of a clan commander
{*****}, an academy commander (three or four-star general), and at least one division.
A clan that has less than nine active members (active members participate twice a week)
may not appoint anyone to the position higher than major (MJR) until it acquires nine active
members. (Note: Inactive or semi-active members are removed from a division and placed
in a reserve division commanded by the clan leader.)
Section D. - Academy
An academy is a training division within a clan responsible for the training and testing of
cadets and officer candidates. However, academies are subject to the Academic Board. All
new recruits are enrolled an academy before becoming a member of TR and potential officers
must be tested by an academy before being commissioned. Academies set standards for cadets
& officer candidates on both skill and discipline. After satisfactory completion of the academy a
graduation ceremony is performed. Academies are lead by an academy commander (three or
four-star general) and may add more staff as needed.
Section E. - Divisions
A division is a unit within a clan. The main purpose for the creation of divisions is to give TR
members greater access to their commanders and to teach and promote team tactics. A division
is a small clan, with the exception that a division may not declare war, create alliances, nor promote
anyone higher than 2nd lieutenant. However, a division is free to run independently from the clan.
A division has an independent server, website, roster, recruit. Members recruited by a division
returns to that division after graduation. A division is required to have an accurate roster on its
website listing callsign, age, rank, platoon, connection type, and email address. In addition, a division
compiles a second roster listing every member’s callsign, rank, platoon, and days of participation.
This roster is submitted to the clan every week. Inactive or semi-active members are removed
from a division and placed in a reserve division commanded by the clan leader. A division consists
of a division commander or CO (a one, two, or three-star general), a division executive officer or
XO (lieutenant colonel or colonel), and 2-4 platoons. A division cannot be created with less than
6 members, including the division CO and XO. When a division reaches 12 active members,
preparations are made for a creation of a new division. The XO of the first division becomes the
CO of the new division and the two highest-ranking platoon leaders are promoted to XO positions.
New officers must be tested and commissioned for the platoon leader vacancies before the new
division is created.
Section F. - Platoons
A platoon is a unit within a division. A platoon is lead by an officer (normally a lieutenant but
may be as high as major) and 1-3 enlisted men. Platoons are responsible for sharpening each
other’s combat tactics and to prepare for the Academy Officer Test. When a platoon has four
men including the platoon leader, preparations are made for the creating of a new platoon. A
new officer is commissioned and one enlisted man is placed in the new platoon.
Chapter 3- Promotions, Commissions, and Recruitment
Section A. - Recruitment
Recruits register on their clan website to be enrolled in an academy. Recruits must list callsign,
age, email address, connection type, and the division that recruited them. New recruits receive
the rank {PVT}. Recruits attend the academy for a minimum of one week before graduating.
Each academy commander, in collaboration with the Academic Board, will compile the curriculum
for an academy. After graduation, new members are promoted to {PFC} and sent to the division
that originally recruited them.
Section B. - Commissions
The division commander sends candidates for commission to the Academy for evaluation. A
division commander may not commission anyone nor can he promote an officer. Strict guidelines
and high standard are needed for officer selection because officers have much more responsibility
than enlisted personnel.
Section C. - Promotions
1.)Enlisted Personnel- Enlisted men are promoted the first Saturday of every month. Enlisted
men may not be promoted more than one rank. New members are skipped during their first
promotion cycle. The division commander makes promotions for enlisted men.
2.)Officers- Officers promotions are not based on merit rather than loyalty. Officers are
promoted only when a subordinate is promoted to an equal position. For example, a CO of
a division is promoted only when his XO becomes a division CO. Also, an officer’s rank
corresponds to his position. For example, a 1st lieutenant promoted to XO becomes a
lieutenant colonel, skipping all the ranks in between.
